HPC for Energy researchers Jairo Panetta (ITA) and Phillippe Navaux (UFRGS) were part of the steering committee of the 28th International Symposium on Computer Architecture and High-Performance Computing (SBAC-PAD 2016) that was held in Los Angeles (USA). Panetta was part of the Applications programme committee and Navaux, of the Architecture programme committee. Participating in this symposium help spreading the word about the project to world leaders in the field, disseminating the concepts and preliminary results of the project.
SBAC-PAD is an annual international conference series, the first of which was held in 1987. Each conference has traditionally presented new developments in high performance applications, as well as the latest trends in computer architecture and parallel and distributed technologies.
