The 16th IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Cluster, Cloud and Grid Computing was held in Cartagena (Colombia) from the 16th to 19th May. The HPC4E team took an active role in the conference.
Rafael Mayo García, researcher at CIEMAT, presented "Fostering Collaboration in Energy Research and Technological Developments Applying New Exascale HPC Techniques" at the workshop Fostering Collaboration in Latin America to address the Emerging Challenges by the growth of HPC for Academia and Industry. Several questions were formulated in order to assess how the project solutions could be applied to other scientific fields.

On the other hand, Prof. Philippe O.A. Navaux (UFRGS) chaired the session Scheduling & Resource Management and presented Automatic Communication Optimization of Parallel Applications in Public Clouds.
