HPC for Energy is participating at Supercomputing 2016 (Salt Lake City, USA) by preseting a poster and two papers in the satellite event WORKS 2016.
On Monday 14 November, and at the Workshop Workflows in Support of Large-Scale Science (WORKS 2016), HPC4E researchers will present the following papers:
Online Input Data Reduction in Scientific Workflows
Integrating domain-data steering with code-profiling tools to debug data-intensive workflows
On 15 November, a powerful video on the challenges that our society faces in energy production and consumption and how exascale supercomputing helps to address them will be first shown at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center booth #2511 at 10:30 (local time). It will be screened throughout the day on SC16 Exhibition.
The video exposes how important activities of our daily life -transportation, shipping, food, communications- depend on energy and how a point of no return is approaching. Please, feel free to check out the teasers made public these last days by following this link: #HPCmatters to Energy.
On the same day, 15 November, from 5:15pm to 7pm at the South Foyer the poster 'In Situ Data Steering on Sedimentation Simulation with Provenance Data' will be presented.
Please, feel free to download the flyer of the HPC for Energy activities at SC16.
